Providence Place is a modern detached holiday cottage in the centre of Martham on the northern reaches of the Norfolk Broads.

This broadland holiday cottage is decorated in a modern, contemporary style and has a huge amount of space for a couple on their own or with young children. Downstairs has a large open plan kitchen, diner and living room area with plenty of space for relaxing. French doors open onto the intimate rear garden which is completely private and is not overlooked. Hardwood furniture ensures that you are comfortable outside on the patio. The position of the garden offers sun coverage throughout the day and recent guests have commented on it being perfect for breakfast.

Kitchen

The open plan layout keeps the kitchen at the heart of the home with a counter linking the two areas. The kitchen features a washer/dryer, microwave oven, fridge freezer, built-in high-level oven and hob.

Living / Dining Area

The large living area offers a quality suite, wide screen television with Freeview Digibox and DVD plus a good selection of films. A range of reading material is also available.

The dining area offers a large pine dining table with seating for four.

Bedroom (King with double sofabed)

The large bedroom (18 x 10 approx.) upstairs offers a sumptuous sleeping environment. The vaulted ceiling provides a more intimate space whilst the roof-light windows flood the area with light. Venetian blinds on the Velux windows allow you to control the light during the day or you can gaze out to the stars at night (light pollution around here is very low). Soft, dimmable, lights allow you to set the mood at night also.

The bedroom features a opulent king-size bed from which to watch television. If you're holidaying with children, a comfortable sofa bed offers additional sleeping arrangements or a comfortable seat for a relaxing read during the day.

En-suite

An en-suite dressing room immediately off of the bedroom provides ample space to pamper yourself. Fitted with a bidet, WC and wash basin, this useful room saves a trip downstairs during the night!

Bathroom

On the ground floor, there is a bathroom offering both a bath and separate shower cubicle along with a wash basin and WC.

Outside

The rear garden has both a small patio and a larger area surfaced with shingle. The garden has a lightly wooded area behind to provide an secluded environment. Garden furniture and a BBQ mean that you can spend those balmy summer evenings outside to enjoy the last of the sun.

The cottage is set way back off the road and is totally enclosed, private and quiet. There is off-road parking for one vehicle (behind closed gates), guaranteeing you a parking space after a long day of touring.

Cottage Notes:

  1. Low Beams: Providence Place has sloping ceilings upstairs with encased beams. Mind Your Head.
  2. Stairs: Providence Place has open tread stairs.
  3. Broadband: A Broadband internet connection is available at this cottage.

An excellent base for heading north and south when exploring Norfolk. This is a very relaxing place to return to after a hard day enjoying yourselves. Beach visits first thing in the morning are definately worth the effort. We had a wonderful week.
