Our Cottage Hire Business' Environment Policy
Norfolk Cottage Holidays strives to reduce waste and polution in every area of its business. Being a small family company, our environmental footprint is pretty small, but we still do what we can to reduce our impact on the planet.
Recycling
Our cottages are located within local authority areas that operate waste recycling systems with twin wheelie bins. We actively promote the use of these (indeed, the local bylaws dictate it). We will also collect glass for recycling at each changeover and dispose of it at a bottle bank. In Providence Place, we operate a composting bin.
Energy Saving
We are undergoing an upgrade programme to replace as many light bulbs as possible in our cottages with energy saving equivalents. This includes replacing existing light fittings if necessary. Most of our white goods are A rated applicances and it is our policy to replace any such item with only energy efficient appliances.
Electronic Communication
As much as possible, we rely on electronic communication to work with our customers and suppliers. This web site is a good example of the investment we have put into this field. We also send documents by email whereever possible to reduce waste paper.
